Description
Love Rock Lookout is located near the Lykens Glen in the northern end of Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. Hiking trails are abundant in this area and for the ambitious, the view from the top of Love Rock is beautiful. Mother Nature has provided a white winter for rural Dauphin County. As I drove back into the area to capture a few reference photos of a small creek area, I was mesmerized by the snow on Love Rock and I knew immediately, this was going to become the image for my next painting. The Lykens Glen Park is part of the county's parks and recreation program providing picnic areas, fishing, hiking and lovely scenery.
