While visiting Assateague Island, just a few miles from Ocean City, Maryland, we walked to the beach and nestled in the sand adjacent from the walkway were these three beauties lounging in the sun and sand. On Assateague, the ponies roam free throughout the island.
Painting is a journey for me as is seeking a subject with my camera. Each blank canvas is a call to adventure. With the stroke of a brush, I embark upon a quest of self-discovery. It places me on the edge of being someone other than myself, being some place new and exciting, and often the journey leads me to places of profound inner peace. The composition, colors, texture, lighting � they all have impact on me, but when I paint and photograph, it�s so much more than just a visual experience. At some point I become lost in the moment.
