Pink roses along with a symbol of 'hope' for a cure for cancer on the vase reminds us of the courageous fight of too many. A few years ago I painted the original for a friend who is a cancer survivor. Hope and Faith are what we all cling too in times of peril.
Painting is a journey for me as is seeking a subject with my camera. Each blank canvas is a call to adventure. With the stroke of a brush, I embark upon a quest of self-discovery. It places me on the edge of being someone other than myself, being some place new and exciting, and often the journey leads me to places of profound inner peace. The composition, colors, texture, lighting � they all have impact on me, but when I paint and photograph, it�s so much more than just a visual experience. At some point I become lost in the moment.
